‘Tales by Twilight’
An information session about establishing yourself in the private sector as a Specialist…
The prospect of ‘going it alone’ and stepping out into private practice can be quite a daunting task for doctors who have had limited exposure to the private healthcare system.
Ramsay Health Care, Australia’s biggest & best operator of private hospitals is holding information evenings in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne for Specialists and Registrars who are keen to find out more about establishing themselves in private practice.
The evening is designed to provide doctors with ‘handy tips’ and advice on processes associated with setting themselves up in private practice, including:
- Where to start with “the paperwork and admin headache” – credentialing processes to admit private patients to private hospitals, Medicare (recognition as a specialist and attaining provider numbers that attract medicare benefits), Veterans’ Affairs patients, room options, software for the practice, finding good admin staff.
- “How to market yourself” – developing an image, stationary, letters of introduction to GPs to establish a referral base, website and brochure development.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear a Specialist share his/her experience in setting up and building a private practice.
In addition, CEOs of Ramsay facilities in each State will be available to speak with you about current and future opportunities within our facilities.
If you are interested in establishing yourself in private practice, we encourage you to attend.
